Hello December, bye bye

Hello lovelies,

I know I promised a blogpost once a month (maximum two), but here we are and it has already been more then a month since my last one. (hence the title hello december bye bye 🙂

It does feel like December will be gone before I even finish writing this blogpost

Time flies even with C dragging us down ,

forcing us to stay at home and reduce our social activities..

Sometimes I wonder if C is taking so much space in my head that that’s why it still feels like there’s never enough time..

The truth is that it’s probably my creative mind that always takes up all my time, even without C wandering our planet:-)

I did want to use this blogpost to tell you a little bit about a project I’ve been working on for over almost two years now..

RotterDames

It’s roots were laid in the training I did with Monique from Happymakersblog two years ago..

In that process we talked about many things, one of them being a project I wanted to do: making portraits of inspiring women here in the Netherlands or, more specifically, Rotterdam,

Since that day this project has been in the slow cooker of my thoughts constantly, and just before C came in our midst I actually started scouting women to make portraits of..

I even started making some portraits already, but then C kinda stirred things up for me (huh seriously?)

So it got shelved…

The reason it did get shelved mainly being that it feels important to me to meet the women in person, because then I can see the energy of a person and that gives me a clearer vision of how I want to make the portrait, I know it’s a lot to ask from the women but I know it’s worth it!

I did already do one portrait just before the first lock down that I want to share with you in the next blogpost, but I’m also still looking for women that could be part of these series of portraits..

So If you think: HÈ THAT”S ME! Or: HÈ I KNOW SUCH AND SUCH and she would be perfect for this?

What am I looking for?

I’m really looking for all kinds of women with all kinds of backgrounds doing something small or big that makes a tiny beautiful ripple on the ocean called humanity..

This can be by developing a new skill, or by the way she takes care of herself or a neighbour. From walking someones dog, to walking the neighbourhood with plastic bags to collect trash.

The reason why I want to do this project so badly, is because lately there are many books appearing on the market with inspiring famous women from all around the world, as an inspiration for young girls to follow their dreams..

But how about your next door neighbour, could she be an inspiration as well?

Could there be inspiration closer to home! We don’t all have to become rebellious rockstars to be special!

So my quest in finding women continues, and I’m hoping by the end of 2021 I will have a whole list of gorgeous women from all over Rotterdam, so will you help me find them?

I hope so!
